Investing Unsubsidized Student Loan?

If you were honest about your student loan application then the student loan would be needed for your tuition, books and living expenses while you are at school. If you did not need the funds for the tuition, books and living expenses then the money could've been lent to someone who did need the funds for those purposes. Consequently, if you find that you can do without the funds from the loan and invest them then you are essentially denying someone else of the opportunities that an education brings. If you're ok with the immorality of misrepresenting your needs and denying someone of the future that they should've been entitled to, then yes, it's possible to benefit by investing the borrowed funds.
