How long does it take for The criminal injury compensation authority to respond?

Problem is, you have charges against you. Probably no eligibility, even if you were defending yourself. UK has gotten really bad - you cannot legally defend yourself, your spouse, your minor child, your pet, your home against violence in hardly any cases at all anymore. Ridiculous!
